The NCAA membership-driven organization is dedicated to safeguarding the well-being of student-athletes and equipping them with the skills to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom, and throughout all aspects of life.
- Student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in life is the heart and mission of the NCAA. In support of that mission, the NCAA award more than $2.7 billion in athletic scholarships each year while also providing access to medical care, academic support services, and first-class training opportunities
- The result is that NCAA student-athletes are graduating at a higher rate than other college students. More than 8 out of 10 student-athletes will earn a Bachelor’s degree
- Student-athletes work hard throughout the year to be among those who qualify to compete for 89 NCAA championships. That experience teaches them time management, leadership skills, and the importance of working toward a common goal. They are the tools for success that will last a lifetime
NCAA Eligibility center
College-bound student-athletes preparing to enroll in a Division I or Division II school need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to ensure they have met amateurism standards and are academically prepared for college coursework.

Athletic recruiting is a difficult process but the hard work can pay off - earning an athletic scholarship is a life-changing experience. Athletic recruiting doesn't work the way many people think, though - coaches from college programs do more than go to camps and combines to "discover" potential recruits. A lot of recruiting now happens online. Take an important first step in the road to an athletic scholarship by creating a recruiting profile in the NCSA Network.
